I make sure those rascals beg for their life, they were beaten by me until they passed .

Chote papa called me and told me that Sriya had woken up , get discharge from the hospital. Choti maa taking care of her and they will drop sriya to her home.

I also leave from my basement and went to home with Siddharth.

I reached home after some time and went inside only to see my whole family was waiting for me.

Dadi called me and told me to sat beside her .I went there and sat beside her , i can feel that todays incident effect them too siya and jatin was also sitting there with a sad face .

They were more exited than anyone to meet Sriya and this excitement somehow save Sriya from this tragedy. There is silence in the hall for few minutes untill My uncle decided to spoke .

" Hum kl Sriya ke ghar rista lekr chalenge. Aaj jo bhi hua esa doobara krne se phle logo ko pta hona chahiye she is the daughter in law of Desai family ".

Other family members nodded and then daid spoke " Ye thik rhega mai nhi chahti aaj jo hua uski vajah se koi bhi Sriya pr ungli uthaye "

Before anyone try to raise their finger on her we will make sure they knows she is the daughter in law of our Desai family, grandpa spoke in form voice .

I was happy to know that they are really protective towards her before she became the part of our family.

Author's pov

Rajiv and maya were sitting in front of the Desai family where janki and other maid were serving tea and snacks .

The tension was heavy in the atmosphere, Rajiv was still confused on Desai family s arrival. He can't figure out why the Desai family has come here. Aryan's uncle and aunt has noticed Rajiv's confused expression.

Akhil spoke " actually mr. Rajiv Jakirwar hum yahan apne bete Aryan ke liye aapki beti ke liye rishta lekr aaye hai ."

Rajiv was shocked to know the reason behind their arrival, he didn't saw it coming . He was stunned for a while to spoke something.

Supriya -" We really like your daughter and hum chahate hai ki vo hamare ghar ki bahu bne aur isliye jaise hi hume pta chala ki aap vapas se Udaipur mai aa gye hai to hm apke Ghar hamare bade bete Aryan ka rista lekr aa gye ."

. She spoke clearing mr. Rajiv's confusion.

Aa ye to bahut accha hai agar hamari beti aapko pasand aayi pr mai bina Sriya ki marzi ke is riste ke liye haan nhi kr skta .

Rajiv said making sure that they didn't felt acceptable and more important is Sriya's choice about this.

To aap Sriya se puch lijiye jo vo faisla legi to vo hume manjur hai koi pareshani bhi nhi hogi is tarah.

Kiran speak making them assured. Her words were clear not making Rajiv uneasy.

Maya - ji jaroor mai abhi jakr Sriya se puchti Hu agar vh haa kre to jaldi hi rista pakka kr lete hai, aur aap jaise itne bade parivar ko hamari Sriya pasand aayi isse acchi kya hi baat ho skti hai.

Maya said playing the world's best stepmom role . Every word she said was a lie actually she just wanted to get rid of sriya as soon as possible.

She stood up and went to Sriya's room where she was sketching.

Sriya's pov

Now I was sitting in front of Desai family and there is no chance I can denied this marriage alliance in front of maya. They were talking about engagement and other marriage rituals date and all but my focus wasn't on that at all.

I just want to vanished in thin air so that no one can made me do the things I don't want.

Maya was sitting next me , she bumped her shoulder with mine . Making me scared , i gulped hard and then I look up only to see everyone's eyes on me .

I didn't know what to do so maya spoke what your choice Sriya About this marriage?

She asked me but More like threatening me to say no and then face the consequences.

I nodded and was about to say something but Maya interrupt me like always.

"Sriya ki haan hai to hum Panditji se kh kr engagement and shadi ki date fix Krva lete hai. "

Desai family also smiled and they be started to talk a little, realated to the marriage date and talking to priest on call ,they told my parents that they will ask the engagement date from the priest and on the same day they will told the priest to call out a good day for marriage.

They were talking and whole time I was looking down trying to avoid this situation which making me feel suffocated. My eyes were little teary but i held my ground not to cry , i feel someone continuously staring at me i look up only to see mr. Aryan Desai looking at me without blinking. We had an eye contact, i feel like my heart skip a beat. I was barely breathing his eyes contact feel like he can see through me i immediately looks down.

But still feeling that his eyes didn't just looking at me they were countinuesly breaking something i don't know what.

How strange faith is , at first i meet him on the road and I was apologising for My mistakes, on second meet I was hiding from him totally ignoring his presence in the company and on third he was my costumer and on fourth meeting he was my college chief guest whome i welcome and he save me from that tragedy and on this fifth meeting he was sitting in front of me f my soon to be fiance.

Maybe God wants this for me . And maya if she is so desperate for this marriage then it means life after being marriages is not gonna be easy.

Maybe she knows what happened in my college, about that accident. Or else Why they want me to their daughter in law. There is plenty of girls in the Udaipur. It's not even 24 hours to that cruel incident and they are here proposing a marriage alliance.

My thoughts got disturb when After talking a bit evryone cheer i look up only to realise that they fix the engagement date .

After two days i will get engaged to him and on the same day our marriage date will be fixed. My heart corrupted in pure horror, my dreams, carrier all will be destroyed after this.

I know this maya if is she is so happy for this marriage then my life is not gonna be easy in Desai family. Suddenly a young boy chimed and said " kya bhai , ab kya aap bhabhi se baat nhi karoge, you are going to be engaged soon to thodi Jaan pahchan bnti hai haina ."

My eyes shot up wide , soon maya told in fake polite voice," jao Sriya tum jkr thodi Jaan pahchan kr lo Aryan se " . Her tone felt like a silent reminder not to make any mistake, i gulped hard and then nodded.

I was in the garden with Mr Desai who is still looking at me and i was trying to shake this strange feeling.

After few minutes he spoke , " I'm Aryan Desai I hope you remember me .

He asked hesitantly and I just nodded at this. There is silence for a while then he again spoke i can feel he was hesitant or maybe he is this way.

"Are you ready for this marriage or you said yes because of your family?"

He literally asked this question. I didn't expect this if maya forcing me into this marriage then their is chance my life will be not easy but he literally asked this to me making my every thought crumble was he pretending or he really mean it . My mind will explode in confusion, i was zoned out for a while until i felt him coming closer to me i got afraid from this closeness i stepped back immediately end up looses my balance. , i closes my eyes in fear and about to fall on the ground but i feel a pair of hands circle around my waist. , i open my eyes when he asked

" tum thik ho " i stand still for a while I didn't know what to do how to react. He hold me in his arms carefully but his hand brushed against my back where maya had hit me a while ago, his touch remain on my back it's paining but i didn't dare to hiss in pain but the injury was too much to made me tear up in pain , my eyes fully tear up but no tear fell out ,

i can't bear it so i pushed him slightly he immediately loosened his hold and i stand straight a little far from him . I didn't look at him and then there is an awkward silence for a while, i thought to spoke and said " mm.. mai t .. t... Thik ... Hu.. after a pause i again said " i.. i.. I'm ready.. for.. t.. thi.. this ... Marriage.

I want to ask something.......

I was back in the hall where I saw both families were laughing and chatting about engagement thing

I saw my father was. Smiling and this is rare thing 8 saw after my mother's death. I know he just married maya for our shake but he never give her , his wife place, he just bring a mother not a wife. Seeing him smiling i feel a little emotional cause I just forget his smile.

I was staring him without blinking, he was happy, my father literally too happy with my marriage alliance.

I sighed, my eyes were tear up again, my throat is hurting, I just wants to hug him and cry out but i hold myself. Suddenly i feel a intimidating presence behind me , i know who is he ,

soon the Desai family noticed us and a girl called me " bhabhi please come here " i was taken back a little bit by the way she just casually addressed me "bhabhi".

Then again a young boy chimed he was looking same age as Arun . He came towards me and forward his hand towards me and spoke

" Mai hu Jatin Desai aapka hone wala pyara aur handsome sa devar " he greeted me i also did a handshake with him but before I can utter any word that same girl came and hugged me tightly, i flinched a little with her this sudden action .

She than leaves me but her both hands rested on my shoulders like this is so natural thing in the world " aap itni jldi aa gye baaten krke thodi der aur kr lete " i flushed a little on her words " well mai hu Siya Desai aapki sbse choti nanad , she bit her tounge , " i mean hone wali nanad . Pta hai ap bahut sundar ho future bhabhi. Aap mere sath chaliye " with that she held my hand and drag me with her and the boy name jatin also joined us.

I sat on a sofa little far away where both of the families were seated with thise siblings, beside me siya and Jatin sat they were continuously talking and also pulling each other legs .

Siya -"humne aapko farewell function mai dekha and aapki performance was outstanding. Kya mujhe bhi is tarah ka dance sikhayengi ..... please mna mt Krna apki pyari si nanad ko ."

" Tu kabse pyari ho gyi .. bandariya jaisi to shakal hai teri , koi dekh ke hi dr jaye.

Jatin spoke kindly liking teasing her ."

The way they were calling me bhabhi seems unfamiliar but a little comforting, they were making me connect to their family with just one word "bhabhi"

" Sunbe kutte agar meri beauty ke baare mai kuch bola na to mai tera muh tod dungi aur tere bachpan ki nangi photo viral Krva dungi phir dekhti hu tujhe koi ladki kaise ghaas dalegi ".

She fired back and jatin was quietly surprised and said " jhoothi kahi ki tere pass badi meri pics hongi aur tujhe kya lagata hai mai ladkiyo pr marta hu .

Kutaa palo billi palo pr ye galatfahmi mt plo .ladkiya mujh pr marti hai . Jo Krna hai kr le.

They didn't realise that Sriya was hearing everything they said and quietly amused that how they are threatened with each other about their embarrassing , messy, and funny childhood memories.

She felt pang of sadness as she never got this type of childhood memories there only pain and suffering she and her brother's bear .

"Bhabhi aap ko mai dikh rha hu aap hi bataiye hu na mai handsome." Jatin asked Sriya and

She shook her head a little and try to focus on the conversation while she herself don't how to to be focused. Cause it's her first time that strangers became to close to her. Siya and Jatin both were including her their conversation like she belongs their with them . Like they didn't just meet her twice. It feels like they have known her from years.

I was feeling a little at ease seeing them being so friendly with me. Both of the families finished there talk about venue, decoration, dates of engagement and official announcement of marriage alliance.

After few minutes later everyone discussed everything and after two days they decided to do roka and engagement. I still didn't understand why Desai family want me to be their daughter in law.

This society is so cruel that whatever happened yesterdays no one will take marriage alliance for me and this is the same family who witnessed everything and same me from that humiliation.

I wasn't able to asked about it from Mr. Aryan.

She was in her thoughts then siya spoke " bhabhi kya aap hume apna mobile number dengi and other social media contact too." She asked cheerfully i nodded with a small smile and took out my phone and give her my mobile, she excitedly hugged me and said

"Our bond is going to be so strong bhabhi " she chimmed loudly everyone glance towards us and I just avoided having eye contact with them .
